Marie is an experienced mental health practitioner with over 20 years of experience working in mental health settings. Marie works with children, young people and adults affected by depression, anxiety and various other complex mental health needs including trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, substance misuse and psychosis. Marie also has experience working with Neurodiverse individuals including Autism and ADHD.
Marie provides organisational training on various mental health-related topics and lectures at universities on post-graduate counselling courses. Marie’s therapeutic stance is warm and empathic and her motivation to support people affected by psychological distress really shows in her work.
Marie understands how people’s lives can be adversely affected by poor mental health, which guided her to train as a CBT therapist. Marie trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) because it is widely recognised as an effective form of treatment for people coping with depression, anxiety and other emotional disorders and it is highly recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).

Marie has developed through her professional training and the knowledge gained through her experience/education over the years, she continues to deliver effective support to children, young people and adults affected by psychological distress.
Marie has a special interest in ACEs, childhood Trauma and Identity/Relational issues in adulthood.
Marie’s clinical work is supervised by a BABCP-Registered CBT Supervisor.
